3D models & Edited videos

After installing the second projection installation, I needed to move forward and think about how next to approach my ideas.

I wanted to try and incorporate more immersion from the projections. So to do this I have begun making 3D models of the buildings so that I can project from multiple directions.

The projections will also map around the 3D forms and create interesting shadows.

In order to resolve the videos and animations I am using, I want them to play together to create more of a story. For example, layering the two in and out of each other will emphasise my content concerning my journeys.

For the animations, I have brought in each animation slowly to create a climax of all of the overlapped back into them filtering out.

For the movement video, I have started off with a video of the train setting off into light walking videos. Then into fast train and running videos. Finally ending on slower moving footage into the final scene which is the train stopping at its destination.

I have also edited the movement video to change direction. Each scene alternates between going left, right, forward and backwards. I have created this by taking footage in this way or by editing them to make it look that way (reversing or flipping).

When played together the animations will start and then the movement video will start delayed. Once the movement video is finished then the animations will continue until they have too ended.
