Overlaying techniques

I am beginning to look into projection mapping. Software such as MadMapper and After Effects enable you to create mapped projections. However, I am new to the software. So in the mean time I have been looking at other ways to present my projection mapping ideas.

I have used photoshop and premiere to overlap my animations and drawings onto the real photo footage.
